Una danzatrice e un danzatore incarnano le relazioni e i giochi di potere fra Mefistofele e Faust e fra Faust oramai perduto e Margherita, in un passo a due che fa delle sottili sfumature dei corpi l’esemplificazione della profonda tensione nella relazione fra gli interpreti.

Dance, as a force that unsettles and enraptures. The mephistophelean dance that overpowers Faust and forces him to seal the deal. Dance as perturbance of trajectories, and impulse toward other possibilities.

A male and a female dancers, embody the relationship and power struggle between Mephistopheles and Faust, and between an already lost Faust and Margaret, in a pas de deux that turns the subtle body nuances into an exemplification of the deep tensions between the interpreters.

Disastrously, Faust survives himself, dancing with Mephistopheles.
